Manchester City Partners with Puma to Launch Metaverse Kit on Roblox

‍Puma and Manchester City have expanded their Web3 collaboration with the release of a metaverse kit on the game platform Roblox. The uniform includes the skin of Manchester City's third jersey, used when the team's "home" and "away" jerseys are not worn.

City's first-ever Metaverse kit launch, the new jersey was presented for the first time on Roblox, letting users explore and engage with the new kit in the PUMA experience.

The new strip is already being worn by players and is inspired by Manchester's distinct and historic street art. The shirt, which comes in spray-paint-effect "Fizzy Light" and "Parisian Night" color palettes, contains a hooped pattern and illustrations based on the Manchester Worker Bee, a symbol of Mancunian history that commemorates the city's working-class traditions.

Manchester City supporters who do not wish to purchase a third jersey metaverse uniform can enter a Land of Games contest to win one for free. Puma will host a Football Rush event on YouTube with 10 players. The competition winner will get $10,000 to utilize in the Roblox metaverse.

Puma's creative culture director, Ivan Dashkov, stated that the business intends to utilize Roblox to engage with fans of all ages. Puma can't conceive of a better partner to launch this "unique kit," and is eager to expand the Land of Games Roblox experience.

The new metaverse uniform from Puma and Manchester City is exciting news for soccer and Manchester City fans, and it illustrates another potentially fascinating use case for NFTs: skins, which vary an avatar's look.
