Marrisa is a first-generation Guyanese-American artist and fashion designer, and the Founder and Creative Director of the contemporary womenswear brand MARRISA WILSON New York. She’s a two-time Fashion Scholarship Fund Winner and has worked with brands such as J. Mendel, Oscar de la Renta, rag & bone, and Calvin Klein.
She is currently a member of the CFDA, has showcased her collections on the NYFW Runway, collaborated with brands such as Levi’s and Gigi Burris, been featured in the pages of Vogue, Ebony and InStyle, and was labeled an “Emerging Designer to Watch” by Women’s Wear Daily before her Debut NYFW Runway Show in February 2022.
Her work is centered around uplifting women, promoting diversity, and evolving the Web3 space through art, community and irl value. By staying true to herself as an artist and working within traditional fashion illustration mediums (such as gouache, markers, and colored pencils), Marrisa has emerged as an innovator and pioneer in the digital art space.
