Aston Martin Announces NFT Collection for Metaverse Game ‘Infinite Drive’
On December 18th, British luxury sports brand Aston Martin will officially debut on Web3 with its first unique NFT collection, a set of 3,000 non-fungible tokens (NFTs) based on three of its most classic automobiles. The company is doing this in collaboration with "The Tiny Digital Factory," a maker of racing video games, and "Infinite Drive," a metaverse game that lets players collect and compete in races with their favorite virtual automobiles.
The Vantage V8 Coupe, Vantage GT3 Racing Model, and 1980 Vantage V8, which appeared in the fifteenth James Bond film The Living Daylights, are the three legendary vehicles Aston Martin will display in its NFT collection. The mint will occur on December 18 (allowlist) and December 19 on the multichain NFT platform Magic Eden (public mint). It will cost 66 $MATIC for each NFT.
Holders will have the option of racing the "diecast" Aston Martin NFTs in Infinite Drive. The automobile models will accurately represent their real-world counterparts, even down to how they behave when being raced and the noises they produce. Infinite Drive is now in its Alpha Stage with two racetracks and daily awards available.
According to Stéphane Baudet, CEO of The Tiny Digital Factory, Aston Martin partnered with The Tiny Digital Factory to debut its NFT collection because it believed in the metaverse company's concept. That goal is to allow users to collect and race their favorite collectible automobiles, just like many did as kids with diecast cars.
Aston Martin's NFT collection demonstrates that more vehicle manufacturers are joining the Web3 sector. Despite the NFT and cryptocurrency bear markets, if the drop is successful, other corporations may follow.
