Binance’s AI NFT Art Generator ‘Bicasso’ Hits 10k Mints in 2.5 Hours

Binance's newly launched AI-powered non-fungible token (NFT) generator has been minting digital art at full capacity, with a cap of 10,000 NFT mints reached in under 2.5 hours.

Binance, the world's largest crypto exchange, unveiled an artificial intelligence-powered NFT generator named "Bicasso" in beta on March 1.

“You can turn your creative visions into NFTs with AI,” Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao tweeted. He further stated, “Bicasso's first pilot just completed with 10K NFT minted in 2.5 hours. The AI was a little stressed out, but caught its [breath] now.”

The system is an AI-powered image creation tool, similar to AI-art platforms like DALL-E. Users may either fill in creative prompts to build a custom image made using AI or upload an image, such as a profile photo, for the AI to work on.

‍Initial mint data shows 9,909 users minted at least one NFT during the closed beta. The images are not for sale as they were used in the pilot. Due to high demand, there were a few issues after the pilot launch, according to Binance, the team stated:

“Our team is currently working to increase the server abilities to reduce errors and to make the minting process smoother.”

It also said that anybody who didn't make the 10K beta quota may still join the wait-list for the final version.

Later on, users were excited to showcase their works on Crypto Twitter. 

According to the platform, "Bicasso AI#10445" was the most recently created NFT at the time of writing.
