Chevrolet is Auctioning Off Corvette Z06 as an NFT‍

General Motors subsidiary Chevrolet has teamed up with non-fungible token (NFT) marketplace SuperRare to auction off a single digital collectible that represents the future 2023 Corvette Z06. This project, dubbed "Own the Color" is considered to be Chevrolet's first "appearance" in the Web3 industry., Additionally, a real automobile will be given to the auction winner.

Artist Nick Sullo, often known online as xsullo, designed the NFT, which features a lime green Corvette Z06 speeding through a cyberpunk world. The next auction combines Sullo's NFT with a 2023 Corvette Z06 that has been specially painted and color-matched to the artwork.

Chevy guarantees that the successful bidder will receive the sole IRL Corvette Z06 painted in the exact shade of "Minted Green" as it appears in the NFT. Additionally, the GM subsidiary stated that owners of its "Own the Color" NFT receive a binary VIN, a unique plaque, and the option code RFN.

All the proceeds from the NFT auction will go to the non-profit DonorsChoose, which provides financial assistance to teachers in need. The donation will also be made in cryptocurrency because the auction will only take Ethereum as payment.

Xsullo will exhibit his "Own the Color" NFT at the NYC.NFT event, according to Newsweek. This NFT was on display at New York's Crypt Gallery for anybody in the Big Apple.
