Cool Cats NFT Partners with CAA for Media & Licensing
Cool Cats, the creators of the well-known Cool Cats and Cool Pets NFT collections, has signed with Creative Artists Agency (CAA), a leading entertainment and sports agency.
The agency will identify and create opportunities for Cool Cats characters in a variety of areas, including licensing and merchandising, animated content, brand partnerships, live events, publishing, and more, in collaboration with the gamified NFT company. The collaboration is the next step in Cool Cats' rapid development of the massive Cooltopia NFT gaming ecosystem. The first Cool Cats NFTs were released on the Ethereum blockchain in July 2021.
The creators of Cool Cats have signed a deal with Creative Artists Agency (CAA) to look into potential licensing and merchandising opportunities, such as animated content, brand deals, publishing, and events.
Cool Cats NFT collection has received a lot of attention since its launch last fall, including a single NFT sale of more than $1.1 million in ETH and a partnership with Time magazine. According to CryptoSlam data, the collection of 9,999 NFT images has generated approximately $318 million in secondary sales to date.
"The Cool Cats team has a bold vision to redefine what NFTs can be," said Phil Quist of CAA. "We see tremendous opportunities for the characters and ecosystem, and are excited to work together to bridge the virtual and physical worlds, through art, entertainment, gaming, and so much more."
Among the notable Cool Cats are actress Reese Witherspoon, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, and DJ Steve Aoki. Cool Cats recently launched a secondary Cool Pets project, with 20,000 total NFT images of a broader range of creatures. To date, that project has generated more than $81 million in secondary NFT sales.
