Indy 500 Launches its First NFT Collection on Autograph‍

The Indianapolis Motor Speedway has issued three NFT collections for the 2022 Indianapolis 500 event, in collaboration with Tom Brady's Autograph.io. Two of these NFT drops are for sale, while the third is exclusive to IRL Indy 500 ticket holders.

Autograph, the Web3 brand co-founded by Tom Brady, INDYCAR, Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and Team Penske today announced the unveiling of their first unique NFT collection in honor of the 106th Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge on Sunday, May 29.

The three-part NFT collection includes an exclusive redeemable 2022 Indianapolis 500 Race Day NFT, an NTT INDYCAR SERIES Mystery Driver Container with 33 unique driver cards, one for each of the highly skilled athletes competing in this year's Indianapolis 500, and a one-of-a-kind intricately detailed re-creation of Team Penske's 1972 Indianapolis 500-winning car.

The 2022 Race Day NFT is a commemorative NFT that is offered for free to anybody who buys a ticket to the renowned racing event, and it has unparalleled authentication using blockchain technology. All Indianapolis 500 ticket holders will be able to redeem the commemorative NFT and have access to exclusive bonus perks.

Each NFT holder will get a unique benefit before the start of the race: a commemorative piece of carbon fiber will be placed in the vehicle of their NTT INDYCAR SERIES driver.

To round off the collection, Autograph collaborated with Team Penske to develop a limited edition NFT: a 3D reproduction of Team Penske's race-winning 1972 vehicle, commemorating the team's first Indianapolis 500 victory 50 years ago.
