Murakami Art Exhibition with RTFKT NFTs
From May 11 to September 25, the Gagosian will hold a Takashi Murakami art exhibition featuring two top NFT projects: RTFKT's Clone X and the Murakami.Flowers. Users can use metaverse technologies to "enhance" their experience, giving this exhibition a Web3 spin.
The "An Arrow Through History" show will be held at three locations: two in New York City and one in Los Angeles. Sculptures and hand-drawn portraits from the Clone X NFT collection can be found at the gallery's 976 Madison Avenue location in NYC.
Art collectors can explore the Murakami.Flowers collection of paintings near the 980 Madison Avenue skyscraper. Murakami's original designs for the NFT series are used in some of the artwork. In addition to that, Murakami's artworks unrelated to non-fungible tokens will be on display in Los Angeles.
Takashi Murakami, a Japanese artist who worked with RTFKT on the Clone X collection, stated he doesn't differentiate between digital and analog art. He merely wants to know whether his art will be part of a cognitive revolution because he is a contemporary artist.
The metaverse viewing features for the exhibition were created by RTFKT. Through the Gagosian website, viewers will be able to participate in an "immersive" experience. They can also use computers or virtual reality headsets to accomplish this. Visitors to the exhibits can use Snapchat Lenses to see augmented reality animations of the artwork and the buildings' exteriors.
The Gagosian accepts Bitcoin, Ether, and USD Coin as payment methods for people wishing to purchase art.
