Rick Ross to Release NFTs on HitPiece
Multi-platinum rapper, and New York Times bestselling author Rick Ross partners with HitPiece, a Web3 music platform, to launch a special non-fungible token (NFT) collection.
Dubbed “Boss Forever”, the collection consists of 200 unique NFTs of The Boss’s digital avatars. Holders of the NFTs will have VIP access to Ross's metaverse "Boss Land," which includes a zoo and a champagne-filled swimming pool. They may even enter "The Lounge," Ross' ultimate listening area in the metaverse. The NFTs also feature physical items, such as an autographed copy of one of Ross's novels.
In addition, the collection's rare NFTs give fans access to a handmade velour jumpsuit and a Facetime session with Ross once a year. Fans will be able to tour Ross's 235+ acre Promise Land property in Atlanta, GA using Ultra tokens. Also, the collection's 1/1 NFT owner will receive a real life 1/1 necklace specially created of their digital avatar.
Rory Felton, a music executive and industry veteran, launched HitPiece with the goal of improving musicians' intellectual property rights. The platform features NFT collections from artists including Furnace Fest, Lil Gotit, ATL Jacob, Matt Ox and more.
“It’s not in our nature to hide or run away. We think web3 is still a huge game-changer for both developing and established artists,” said Rory Felton.
The partnership with Ross follows HitPiece's $5 million seed investment, which was led by Pelion Ventures and included Ross himself. The funding will be utilized to help HitPiece become the dominant Web3 music platform, as well as to continue developing NFT music and metaverse experiences.
