Twitter NFT Verification Finally Arrived
Twitter is rolling out verified NFT profile pictures, where users will be able to truly connect their NFTs with social media.
Twitter has just announced it integrated non-fungible token (NFT) verification features to its platform, marking a significant step forward in the growth of the booming NFT trend. There's been skepticism regarding the ownership over these digital assets; thus, you might own the BAYC NFT in your profile photo as the token is linked to your Ethereum wallet, but what stops someone else from right-clicking the image and making it their profile picture as well?
Twitter has finally given an official verification process for NFT profile images, following months of expectation. As a result, NFT verification is now available only for users with Twitter Blue, a $2.99 monthly subscription service, which offers a streamlined user experience and an “undo” button, among other mostly cosmetic features.
On Twitter, the NFTs will appear differently from typical profile pictures. The new NFT avatars will show as a hexagon rather than a circle, and users can click on them to learn more about the artwork, its metadata, and the creator.
