VR Platform Cyber Partners with Rarible to Launch a Virtual NFT Marketplace
Rarible and Cyber are teaming up to develop an immersive NFT VR experience in the Metaverse.
Rarible and Cyber, a virtual reality platform, have announced a partnership to connect their protocols to launch a virtual NFT marketplace. Thus, NFT collectors will be able to explore NFTs and collectibles through an immersive VR experience, according to Cyber, which launched the new feature in February of last year.
"You had all these top-to-bottom companies that were selling [virtual] land that is quite expensive, and then you had a lot of 2D platforms, but not the option in the middle," said Rayan Boutaleb, Cyber's founder. He also added, "we launched and placed the first brick of a bottom-up metaverse company that we would build with the help of the [blockchain] community,"
The Cyber VR app, according to Boutaleb, can work on mobile phones, including older models, broadening the audience for potential NFT consumers. The platform is currently accessible for NFTs created using the Rarible protocol on the Ethereum blockchain.
By incorporating Rarible's technology, Cyber claims that users will be able to access collectibles beyond the Cyber marketplace, specifically all projects that use the Rarible protocol, including Rarible.com, a top 10 NFT marketplace with $291.88 million in trading volume since its launch, according to DappRadar.com.
