Watchmaker Franck Muller to Launch Mystery Box NFTs
The iconic Swiss watchmaker Franck Muller is venturing into Web3 for the second time, releasing a set of 15,000 Mystery Box NFTs on the Binance NFT platform on July 27 at 11 a.m. UTC.
The Mystery Boxes have been classified into four rarity levels by the team. A tour of the Muller facility is one of the benefits included with the Mystery Boxes. The standard 15,000-set drop offers 10 IRL timepieces for purchase, with each mystery box costing $100 BUSD or $100.
Additionally, collectors of 10 Mystery Boxes will be given a chance to be entered on an allowlist for an avatar collection in the future. Muller is also commemorating the release with a 1/1 IRL auction of the watch belonging to "Aoki Sloane," described as a "fearsome warrior of peace" who is engaged in conflict with the "Harakuma Warlords" for the survival of the metaverse.
Franck Muller has already ventured into the Web3 industry. It created a unique Bitcoin watch with a QR code in 2019. The QR code's owner was able to deposit bitcoin and see the history of transactions in their Bitcoin wallet by scanning it. This Mystery Box collection is noticeably larger, suggesting that Muller may have caught the Web3 bug.
The watchmaker is one of the world's elite and is known for his daring creations with extraordinary complexity. According to a press release, Franck Muller is now transferring this knowledge to the realm of cryptocurrency and non-fungible tokens (NFTs), where proficiency in watches and real-life life experiences will be combined, as demonstrated in the Mystery Box collection.
