World of Women Partners with Toy Company Hasbro to Produce an NFT Monopoly Game

‍World of Women and Hasbro, a well-known toy company, have joined forces to produce a special Monopoly game. The board game, "World of Women Galaxy Monopoly," will first be made available as an NFT to World of Women and WoW Galaxy holders. They can later exchange their Monopoly NFT for a tangible copy of the game.

World of Women Galaxy Monopoly will have similar features as the original Monopoly but there will be a new twist: the artwork will be drawn from the World of Women and WoW Galaxy collections. As an illustration, the Monopoly in-game money will feature images of WoW NFTs.

The World of Women co-founder Yam Karkai stated that “partnering with a historical brand like Monopoly" is a great opportunity for WoW owners and the broader public.

“As the WoW franchise continues to grow, we are honored and thrilled to be in business with a category-leader like Monopoly for World of Women Galaxy,” said Karkai in a statement.

The game will be produced by WS Company, the only high-end toy designer with a Hasbro license. Co-owner of the WS firm Kerry Addis stated that partnering with WoW is "a great opportunity," in part due to WoW's goal of fostering gender equality in Web3.

There is currently no timeline for the game's development, release date, or when WoW community may anticipate seeing it in their Web3 wallets. The art in the media samples is merely a teaser and not necessarily reflective of the finished release, a WoW spokesman noted.

2022 has been a year of building after 2021 saw World of Women achieve a blue-chip rank among non-fungible token collections. A few months ago, the World of Women team made a big announcement about their collaboration with the Sandbox metaverse. With four objectives, the World of Women foundation was established under the agreement to promote greater diversity in the NFT sector.

The World of Women Monopoly game is also exciting, particularly for World of Women holders. It also demonstrates the possibility for collaboration between NFT and IRL businesses: A business can make intriguing cross-over products and services by utilizing the intellectual property of NFT collections.
