Youtube Looking to Implement NFTs as Part of Its Future Plans
As the non-fungible token (NFT) sector continues to grow, YouTube could be the next platform to consider this emerging technology.
As part of its expansion plans, YouTube, the American video-sharing giant, seeks to enter the non-fungible token (NFT) market.
YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki stated in an annual letter to creators on Tuesday (January 25, 2022) that the firm was looking for ways to assist them benefit from non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
“We’re always focused on expanding the YouTube ecosystem to help creators capitalize on emerging technologies, including things like NFTs while continuing to strengthen and enhance the experiences creators and fans have on YouTube.” said Susan Wojcicki.
The YouTube chief also stated that in 2021, non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and decentralized autonomous organizations also known as DAOs, gave more opportunities for creators and fans to connect..
The latest development comes shortly after Twitter announced a new feature that allows users to display their non-fungible tokens (NFTs) as profile pictures.
